DLR Group reached out in the early spring of 2024 about photography of the new designed and completed dining hall at Swarthmore College. We were very excited as we love to photograph higher education spaces. The initial project rendering that were sent for our pre-production planning blew us away. The new Sharples Dining Hall is an outstanding addition to one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. Swarthmore’s campus in highlighted by the Scott Arboretum and DLR Group designed a fitting mass-timber building to complement the campus. We spent two and a half days photographing interiors and exteriors. Before we left we were able to tour the arboretum. It is truly one of the most amazing campuses we have visited.
